Jay Z Subliminally Disses Drake In DJ Khaled’s New Single ‘Shining’

Upon gearing up for his upcoming album, DJ Khaled recruited Jay & Bey for the single “Shining” during Grammy weekend. The song has caught the attention from the world as many have speculated that Jay Z is calling out OVO head, Drake.

On “Shining,” Jay Z raps:  “21 Grammys, I’m a savage n—a/ 21 Grammys, I’m a savage n—a” clearly dissing Drake given the fact that Drake was featured on 21 Savage’s “Sneakin'”.

“I know you ain’t out here talkin’ numbers, right / I know you ain’t out here talkin’ summers, right / I know you ain’t walkin’ ’round talkin’ down / Sayin’ boss s–t when you a runner, right?”

The diss from Jay who’s known for his multiple summertime hits very well could be his response to Drake’s verse on “Sneakin.’”

Given that Jay Z and Drake exchanged subliminal disses last year via “Summer Sixteen,” where Drake stated he “used to wanna be on Roc-A-Fella then turned into Jay.” and “I Got The Keys” as Jay fired back and said:“Till you’re on your own you can’t be me.”
