“Novocaine” is the brand new single from Lovespeake, featuring guest vocals from American artist Max Frost. Packed with neo-nostalgic retro-love, the track’s pumping, hypnotic bassline and shimmering falcettos are set to induce white man’s overbite and finger-pointing disco moves. Lovespeake is spearheaded by Norwegian topliner Alexander Pavelich, who spends most of his days in sessions across Europe and Asia writing for other artists – all the while saving the most unique pop gems for himself, released by Toothfairy. “Novocaine” has had quite the journey; its initial form took shape in Hamburg, was later produced and recorded in Reykjavík, before getting its finishing touches back in Oslo. Lovespeake is set for songwriting journeys to Austin, Tenerife, Berlin, London and Bangkok in the next few months. New material is expected for release throughout the year.
Lovespeake entered 2016 with the critically acclaimed debut album “DNA”, topping CMJ’s college radio charts in the US with a top five most added album. The album’s respective singles also hit blogs and radio stations around the globe and scored additions to some of Spotify’s most influential playlists in North America, the UK, Europe, Asia and Scandinavia, including the Global New Music Friday-playlist. The tracks have racked up well over one million streams online and were playlisted on Norway’s biggest radio station NRK P3 for 16 weeks straight. Tidal also selected them as a “Tidal Rising” artist. Lovespeake’s six-piece live act vividly contrasts the plentiful colors of its graphics with the members’ monochrome outfits. The energy this massive group brings to a live setting simply can’t be understated; it’s the same drive that ensures that Lovespeake will be remembered as one of the most ambitious psych pop bands in recent memory.
